Product Introduction
Product name: Phosphorus trichloride
CAS RN: 7719-12-2
EINECS number: 231-749-3
Molecular formula: PCl3
Molecular weight: 137.333
Physical and chemical properties: A colorless and transparent smoking liquid with a relative density of 1.574, a melting point of -112 ℃, and a boiling point of 75.5 ℃. It is soluble in ether, benzene, carbon disulfide, and carbon tetrachloride, and emits smoke in humid air with strong irritancy. It undergoes violent decomposition when exposed to water, releasing hydrogen chloride gas, which is toxic and highly corrosive.
Usage: Mainly used as raw materials for the production of organophosphorus pesticides such as trichlorfon, methamidophos, and acetamidophos, as well as rice blast purification. The pharmaceutical industry is used to produce sulfamethoxazole (S.D) and sulfamethoxazole (S.M.D). The dye industry is used as a condensation agent for naphthols.
